Growing Time: 2nd Trimester

13–28 Weeks: Time to Focus on You

Your morning sickness should be easing and your energy levels improving. Your baby bump is taking shape, and this is the time to feel excited, happy, and more relaxed. Now is the time to focus on yourself — eat well, sleep well, and spend quality time with your partner.

Second Trimester Care

SEE HOW WE CAN HELP YOU

Our goal is to guide you safely through the next few months, identifying and addressing any concerns and ensuring that you and your baby stay healthy. Each visit includes a blood pressure check, abdominal examination, and assessment of your baby’s heartbeat.

At Your 14-Week Visit

We’ll discuss your screening results, plan any necessary follow-ups, and provide an ultrasound request for your 18–20 week morphology scan — a detailed look at your baby’s growth and development.

At Your 20-Week Visit

We’ll review your morphology scan results, check your baby’s growth, and ensure your blood pressure and overall wellbeing are stable. Hospital admission forms are due by this visit.

At Your 24-Week Visit

Routine checks will be performed and we’ll test for anaemia, diabetes, and blood group antibodies. These tests are typically done between 24–28 weeks to monitor your ongoing health.

At Your 28-Week Visit

We’ll discuss your blood test results, explain any findings such as gestational diabetes or anaemia, and guide you on the next steps. Anti-D prophylaxis will be given if required.
