The End Is Near – 3rd Trimeste

29–40 Weeks: Your New Arrival Is Almost Here

As the end of pregnancy draws nearer, you may experience an intense mixture of emotions — relief, fatigue, wonder, excitement, apprehension, and nervousness. All of these feelings are completely natural as you prepare to meet your baby.

SEE HOW WE CAN HELP YOU

As your pregnancy progresses, we’ll meet more frequently — every 2 weeks from 30 weeks, then weekly from 36 weeks until delivery. Each visit ensures both you and your baby are safe, healthy, and emotionally prepared for birth.

Regular Checkups

We’ll monitor your blood pressure, baby’s movements, heartbeat, and perform abdominal examinations to estimate the size and position of your baby.

Additional Ultrasounds

If we have concerns about baby’s growth, fluid levels, placenta position, or blood flow, additional ultrasounds will be performed to ensure everything is progressing smoothly.

At 34 Weeks

If you are a negative blood group, we will provide anti-D prophylaxis to protect both you and your baby.

At 36 Weeks

A Group B Streptococcus (GBS) swab will be done. If positive, you’ll receive antibiotics to prevent transmission during birth. You’ll also meet with our midwife to discuss your birth plan and expectations.

Preparing for Labour & Beyond

We’ll help you understand what to expect during labour and early motherhood, ensuring you’re emotionally and physically ready to welcome your little one with confidence.
